Procede de Lucena (C\u00f3rdoba). Debido a su procedencia tambi\u00e9n es conocida como lucentina.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">GEOGRAF\u00cdA DE CULTIVO<\/h4>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">La variedad hojiblanca es la tercera en Espa\u00f1a seg\u00fan superficie cultivada, con unas 250 000 hect\u00e1reas. Es t\u00edpica en Andaluc\u00eda, concretamente en las provincias de C\u00f3rdoba, M\u00e1laga, Sevilla y Granada. Representa el 16% de la producci\u00f3n de aceitunas de Andaluc\u00eda.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h4>CARACTER\u00cdSTICAS<\/h4>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Variedad de vigor medio y resistencia al suelo calc\u00e1reo. Considerada r\u00fastica por su resistencia a la sequ\u00eda y su tolerancia hacia el fr\u00edo invernal. La variedad de olivo hojiblanca produce una aceituna tiene un peso elevado de m\u00e1s de 6 gramos y una forma redondeada y esf\u00e9rica. Madura en \u00e9poca tard\u00eda. La productividad es elevada, pero alternando ya que est\u00e1 afectada por el fen\u00f3meno de la contra\u00f1ada o vecer\u00eda. La cosecha mec\u00e1nica resulta dif\u00edcil ya que los frutos tienen gran resistencia a desprenderse del \u00e1rbol. Se cosecha al final de la temporada (marzo-abril), lo que le da poca productividad.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">USOS<\/h4>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">En primer lugar el aceite hojiblanca se caracteriza por su contenido en \u00e1cidos insaturados, con un color verde dorado. Esto lo convierte en un aliado perfecto para la lucha contra el colesterol. Tambi\u00e9n presenta una baja estabilidad, que puede mejorarse si se mezcla con aceites de oliva m\u00e1s resistentes a la oxidaci\u00f3n, como <a href=\"http:\/\/www.viveroscastromartinez.com\/index.php\/olivo-picual\/\">picual<\/a> o cornicabra. Es necesario conservarlo fuera del alcance de luz y aire, para evitar la oxidaci\u00f3n.
